Journal Entry: Arrival Under Shadow

Journal Entry: Arrival Under Shadow

Date: 6th June 2025

Location: Munich, Germany

The train approached Munich under a silent sky.

There were no greetings. No brass. No pageantry.

We stepped onto the platform as one body — form intact, faces aligned.

This city, once shattered by ambition and soot, has reconstructed its façades.

But structure does not imply sovereignty.

We do not confuse order with command.

Upon arrival, I marked the date.

6th June.

Eighty-one years ago, men landed in fire and tide.

They carried rifles and silence.

Not to be remembered — but to be obeyed.

We did not speak of D-Day.

We enacted it — by presence, by stance, by the refusal to soften.

Commemoration through posture, not flowers.

Prince Eduard stood beside me before the Feldherrnhalle.

We did not lower our gaze.

One uniform reflected in another.

The past did not rise — it reported.

Munich remains a field of echoes.

We do not chase them.

We replace them.
